Quaternary history and geology of western Washington, glacial processes, and geologic mapping; geologic mapping of the Puget Lowland and the City of Seattle; also, the analysis of consequences of geologic processes and materials on land-use -- stream channels, river systems, hillslope stability, erosion, and groundwater.
