Dear Potential Donor;
The Research Institute for Space Exploration (RISE) was created to be a conduit through which researchers at the University of Washington and industry leaders can partner to develop cutting edge research in the field of space science. This ranges from the development of satellite propulsion systems to the fabrication of probes to travel to other planets. We
seek to give students (both graduate and undergraduates) at the UW
hands on
experience with cutting edge technology, and we have a number of
projects that
can allow interested groups, including middle school, high schools and
amateur societies.
All this costs money, and we continue to activity solicit funding from
federal
agencies. As a private citizen or company, your help could go along way
in
supporting us to meet our objectives. A donation no matter how big or small from you will help set the foundation from which RISE can grow into an internationally important center for advanced research. If you are interested in donating to RISE, money can be sent to the address below, with checks made out to the "University of Washington - RISE". If you have further questions regarding RISE, please contact me. Further information about RISE can also be found in a proposal submitted to the National Science Foundation for funds to initiate a graduate program within the RISE is available as a PDF. This document outlines the research currently being undertaken by the members of RISE and the plans for the future with respect to graduate students. Prof. Robert Winglee Dir.
