Cross Section Animation
Image below is an animated tour through our initial 3-D velocity model
constructed by inversion of SHIPS and earthquake data. The panels move
by 2 km steps westward through the model, at 1 panel per second. Black
dots are earthquake hypocenters from the inversion data set within a moving
corridor 15 km wide, centered on the cross section. Lower right numbers
are X coordinates of cross section in model.
