Complex Life May Have Had a False Start 2.3 Billion Years Ago
A team at the UW did a study of Earth's oceans and found that they held suitable conditions for life at one point in time. This point occurred more than a billion years before the first fossils appeared. Michael Kipp, doctoral student in Earth and space sciences at the UW, is interviewed.
