Note: These majors are available only to students who began or "declared" a major before Autumn Quarter 2002.

I. Department Course Requirements

1) Core Introductory courses (All  three of ESS 211, 212, 213 or GEOL 201, 202, 203 are required.):

2) Two of the three ESS 311, 312, 313 or GEOL 391, 392, 393 classes are required. (All three are recommended, but any two are sufficient):

Requirements for Geology Minor

Students must take a total of 15 credits of lower division classes which include all three of GEOL 201, 202, and 203 (5 credits each). Students must take a total of 10 credits of additional classes (any) in Geological Sciences. All required courses must be completed with a minimum grade of 2.0
