Interests: geomorphology, surface processes, interactions between surface processes and tectonics
I am interested in understanding the geomorphic work of floods of various magnitudes and frequencies, namely comparing the work done by monsoon flow (annual) to that done by outburst flooding (centennial) and megaflooding (kyr). I use numerical models and remote sensing to simulate floods and examine the consequences of these flood inundation paths. Most of my work is focused on the eastern Himalaya.
